Email vs. Voice Mail...Which do you prefer to send? And which do you prefer to receive?

Both are non-live communication and each has it's own advantages and disadvantages. Voice mail allows you to more clearly express your emotions by recording the voice component. Written text can sometimes be misinterpreted without that vocal component, for example, when the author wrote in ALL CAPS, did they mean to shout? Or just add emphasis? Were they mad? Or were they happy?

Email, however, also gives you the ability to add attachments with a visual component that Voice Mail can't deliver. You can also add links to other websites and overall, load much more information into a single transmission than might be delivered in a 1 minute voice mail. But email also has to compete with lots and lots of Spam if your email address has become known to various advertisers or sold in lists to the hucksters and scammers of the world. So while email might have the capacity to add more content, it may not get read due to competition.

So do you lean more to Email? Or Voice Mail?

Reply:Email by far is the best......
Reply:Email. No contest.
Reply:I prefer email but text messaging is my favorite...always have my phone with me when I don't have a computer....in constant touch with family and friends. Just my opinion.
