Email question?

I am thinking about switching to gmail since yahoo disabled my office email address without warning. My office email was important to me. It was loaded with addresses, phone numbers, email addresses in my contact list and set up with categories. All this will take me about two days to input all of this again. I like yahoo's features but cannot afford to constantly get new yahoo email addresses and inform everyone all the time. Does anyone here have a gmail account? Does gmail terminate accounts without warning? I realize two days ago I sent quite a number of emails. Perhaps, yahoo thought I was sending spam. But, all my emails were legitimate. People are now calling me to let me know emails sent to me are being returned, My quesion is this: Does gmail have all the same features as yahoo -- that is can I easily send attachments, have an address book, create categories? A good email program is important to me since at times I am asked to give community talks.

I can't understand why yahoo done that! I hope they don't do mine like that, I have a lot of important documents as well. I have heard that gmail has the same features as yahoo, I am going to think about changing mine, since they done that to you, I might be next , and I haven't got the time for the hassle!! good luck!
Reply:As e-mail address, GMail is very good. You will be protected from spams. You can create groups in your address book.

Reply:I've had gmail for a couple years now and have never had a problem with it. I actually like it better than yahoo.
