Can I get email from other countries the same way I get email in the USA?

I want to email my boyfriend but he is in Germany, and I'm in the USA. Is email done the same way, or do I have to do some other procedure to send and receive email to and from Germany?

If only you use the right emailaddress, your friend will receive your mails.

Reply:yep
Reply:it is the same thing u if u use the same mail server and the receiver also use the same u ll get the same email as it was before good luck
Reply:Email like the internet is global.
Reply:It's identical.
Reply:Yes of course.
Reply:If you are using a public email (like yahoo, hotmail etc), it will work same anywhere . If are using your office email, some are configured not to accept mail from outside addresses. If this is not your case, there wont be any problem for sending and receiving emails from outside.
