Is Yahoo email legitimate asking for all of my info to keep my account open?

I received an email that looks like it's from Yahoo that is asking for personal info to keep my acct. active. Is this a legitimate email? Can't they tell who is using their email addresses?

Is Yahoo email legitimate asking for all of my info to keep my account open?
Yahoo will NEVER ask for a password except on the sign in screen. It is a scam.

Reply:It is not legitimate. Yahoo doesn't do that, and besides, they already have whatever information they need. This is spoofing or phishing. I hope you haven't answered them!

If you received an email impersonating Yahoo! and would like to report it please forward the email to: mail-spoof@cc.yahoo-inc.com. If you have already been tricked into giving your password, please visit http://security.yahoo.com/article.html?a...

and follow the instructions there. Also: http://www.consumerfraudreporting.org/lo...

As to being able to tell who is using their email addresses, that's really a bit ludicrous. Yahoo has 90 million users world-wide. You really think they keep up with all of them?
Reply:No, yahoo is not emailing legitimates for all of your info. But they do that just to keep you posted and to make sure that you are you.
Reply:You can click on the spam button so you can alert yahoo about it
Reply:The e-mail is not legitimate--it's a phishing scam.
Reply:it does not sound legit. I would not respond and I would contact yahoo directly about it and let them know.
