When i open email i am signed out of messenger. how do i stop that? don't want to chat from email account?

When i open email i am signed out of messenger. how do i stop that? I don't want to chat from email account?


as i click on email icon from messenger i get signed out of messenger as i sign into yahoo mail. this never used to happen before but started recently.


I have gone a couple of years without any problems and recently when I click on mail I get signed out of messenger. How can I fix this problem? Help! Gary

Disable chat in your Yahoo Mail if you want to use your desktop Yahoo Messenger, by doing the following:





See the smiley face next to your user name at the top of the mail page? Click it – then click Sign out of chat. (If you never signed in, the face is gray and sleeping...meaning you're already signed out/disabled.)
