I met a chatted with a stranger for a little bit online. Today he sent me an email but the email was sent from my email right back to me...the sender was from my email to me. How can that happen when that person does not know my password or me in person.
Somone sent me an email using my email address. My question is how is that possible?
that is crazy why don't you write to yahoo
Reply:don't wary. your account was not hacked. just someone used SMTP or POP2 server to send your email. Try to search more on Google, it is a little complicated to explain know, and if you don't have some network knowledge it is more complicated.
Reply:this is possible but i cannot give the full details here on how. it is so easy to copy your email address and just send an email to you also. in short, receiving an email from your own email address. you can only distinguish the real sender of that mail/message IF you are also a computer smart. coz if not, you will just wonder in the sky HOW and WHY. this is also considered a spam mail. so if you have the spam blocker, activate it. or if you have the good internet security, there is a setting that can automatically junk those emails which you don't know and had been scanned from that internet securiy protection.
*for Weather, the one you posted is already known, so the sender will know also what you sent back. lol. in short, no one will attempt to prank the user if he/she doesn't know how to protect him/herself.
%26lt;%26gt;absolutely, i can email any person with their own email address but i know how to protect myself not be able to be distinguished by the receiver. and the receiver of my email sent to him/her cannot reply me back. so far, i never tried this thing to people who are innocent coz i know how to respect a user also.
Reply:This aritcle was just on yahoo news.... hope it helps... sounds like you have a hacker of some sort
