I'm the List Owner and Member (with different verified non Yahoo email addresses and Yahoo IDs) and have Web Access to the Web Features (Files, Message Archives, Photos, Links, etc), but new non Yahoo email address Members can't.
I created a new non Yahoo email address and discovered that I was also not able to access the Web Features until the associated Yahoo email address was also subscribed to the List. I explained this and subscribed their Yahoo email address set to "No Mail" as they requested.
OK, so now they have Web Access and receive/send email at their non Yahoo email address, but they also have a Yahoo email address which they do not use.
What will happen when that Yahoo email address expires, because they don't access it (after 30 days inactivity at the Yahoo Web based email site)?
Will their Yahoo ID expire?
Will they lose Web Access to the Yahoo Groups email List (to which they will still be subscribed at their non Yahoo email address, and receive/send email from/to?

Don't worry. Only 'expires' the Yahoo email (it can be
reactivated again if you need it later). It does not affect
the Yahoo ID nor the Yahoo groups.
But...
If the Yahoo email is associated to another group, and
receiving messages from this group, when the Yahoo
email 'expires' then the member will be moved to the
list of bouncing members in this group.
